[ Auto Industry Rumors ] 2015 Ford Mustang To Be Powered By 2.3-Litre EcoBoost Engine?
Decidedly every day brings us a new next generation Ford Mustang rumor!
Last week we talked about a rumor to the effect that the 2015 Mustang would be available with a four-cylinder engine, but only in Europe. The information coming from Edmunds is now being challenged by Road & Track.
According to them, the North American model will be sold with a 2.3-litre turbocharged engine after all. Road & Track also speculates that the power of the four-cylinder EcoBoost could exceed 300 horsepower. Why? Because the engine would be offered as a premium option to buyers who want to get something else than the 3.7-litre V6 producing 307 horsepower powering the base model.
For its part, the 2015 Mustang GT would still be available with a V8.
