Can’t wait to see what the 2014 Chevrolet SS, GM’s next V8-powered sedan, will look like? We have some pictures that should interest you.

GM-owned Australian automaker Holden has revealed its new Commodore (in upscale Calais V disguise) during the last weekend, giving us a glimpse of what will look the SS 2014. Unless a surprise is thrown at us, it should essentially retain all the design elements of the Commodore, both in the cabin and outside.

Under the hood, it will be a different story. While Australians will have a choice between a 3.6-litre V6 and a V8, North Americans will automatically get the V8. The latter will probably be the 6.2-litre, 450 horsepower LT1 mill used in the 2014 Corvette, according to various credible rumors.

Let us remind you that the last rebadged Holden to make it to North America as a GM product was the Pontiac G8, who was also based on the Commodore.
