Hyundai gave us a preview of the design that could adopt the next generation Genesis sedan by unveiling the HCD-14 Genesis Concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. We offer you the video of its official presentation and some details about the car.

Under the hood nests a 5.0-liter V8 with direct injection mated to an eight-speed automatic, which is exactly the same setup as the current model. Hyundai says, however, that future Genesis will offer much better handling, thanks to a stiffer chassis and by offering several driving modes that the driver can select, depending on road conditions.

The design of the car wants is very futuristic, but we can anticipate that several elements will dissapear in the production model – For example, the hard-edged body creases , “Genesis” engraved in the headlights as well as the roofline reminiscent of a coupe that eliminates any form of a trunk lid.

From a technology point of view, the Hyundai HCD-14 Concept Genesis incorporates a head-up display, an iPad storage station and a system that allows the driver to use the audio and climate controls by tracking the driver’s eyes.
