Will we soon be witnesses of a Subaru hybrid vehicle unveil? It sure sounds like it will be the case!

According to the rumor, the Japanese manufacturer would use the New York Auto Show at the end of March to unveil the said hybrid vehicle.

Although Subaru has neither confirmed or denied the place and time of the unveiling, the director of director of product management and coordination of the U.S. division Kenichi Yamamoto has already admitted publicly that his employer was working on the project.

Little (or no) details have leaked about it at this point and time, but we can anticipate that future hybrid model will brorrow some look or technology from the Advanced Tourer Concept that was revealed in 2011 at the Tokyo Motor Show. Ket us remind you that the concept was powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery and used a a regenerative braking system.
