The development of the Porsche 960, the German automaker’s upcoming Ferrari Fighter nicknamed “FeFi”, is apparently going well, ans and we have some very interesting information about it to share with you this morning.

According to Automobile Magazine, Volkswagen Group boss Ferdinand Piech reportedly has given engineers the green light so they can an use 3.9-litre flat eight engine helped by four turbochargers. Awesome.

With this configuration, the car would have 650 horsepower to its disposition, making it the most powerful in the Porsche lineup, more than the 918 Spyder front and the 911 GT2 RS.

Automobile also states that the weight of the Porsche 960 will be around 3,000 pounds, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 97 km/h in just 2.5 seconds.

Its production should begin in 2017 if all goes as planned.
